Just Packing

So tommorow we settle on our new house! I'm so excited! Pray everything goes as planned. We were originally supposed to settle on the 16th then the 19th and finally the 21st. We do the walk through and then 1 hour later, we sign our life away. The good thing about real estate is, our house has already been appraised at 20k more than we bought it for. So in a few years we'll be able to get the house we really wan't! In the mean time I'm super psyched about our new home. We'll be painting before we move the furniture in and we have until the 1st of January to be out of the house we're moving from. Next project is to finish the basement with a family room, 4th bedroom, kids playroom and bathroom. Following all that we'll be putting up a white picket fence (We have to, homeowners association says so) and purchasing a pooch. So I may not be posting for awhile, but I'm sure I'll find time to check in on everyone. Hugs and kisses XOXOXO

Kids say the darndest things

So I was taking a shower and I started feeling light headed. I needed to eat a little su in' su in'. I dried off a little but walked downstairs naked to the kitchen. I passed Hailee on the way and she just looked at me. After I crammed a bunch of peanut butter in my mouth, I headed back up only to be stopped by my eldest daughter (4):

Hailee: "Wait Mommy"

Me: "Why?"

Hailee: "Because, I wan't to see them" (reaching up quickly and squeezing one)( Me jumping )
"Do they still have milk in them?"

Me: "No Hailee, not any more"

Hailee: " Please can I touch them"

Me: " No More HAIL!"

Hailee: " I wan't to cut them off and keep them forever, I have scissors"

Me: "Um, thats a little gross Hail"

Another day:

I was getting dressed after a shower and she was sitting on my bed.

Hailee: Looking at my stomach, " Mom you need to pull those up" ( talking about my shorts)

Me: "Why?"

Hailee: "Because it doesn't really look that good"

When she's like 2 1/2: I was getting out of the shower about to shave my legs. I put one leg up on the sink, as I looked down she was under me, looking up and pointing to you know where "Mom, why do you have pink gum stuck to your hiney?" Lovely huh?

Tonight we got to get out by ourselves! Our dear friend amy offered to come over so we could go out to eat. We went to Sakura. It's a Japanese hibachi grill. OMG, I had filet and shrimp. The sauce they give you is to die for. I almost wanted to stick some in my pocket so I could slather it on Aaron later. Then we went to Barnes & Noble got a coffee at Starbucks and headed home in the freezing rain. It was really nice to get out just the two of us. We need to do it twice a week.

Tommorow my mom and I are taking Hailee to the movies. She's so excited and really looking forward to some time alone with mommy and mom-mom! Aaron and Gianna will spend a little quality time together. He loves it. He never complains about that. Just that I'm a bad house keeper(Joking). Hope you guys have a great weekend.

I've too been infected

Here are the directions: Write 5 random facts about yourself, and then list the names of 5 people whom you in turn infect.

1. I drove across the country with my friend Melissa after high school. We skipped senior week and did that instead. I'm so glad I did. We picked up two hitch hikers along the way and we traded them hemp necklaces we made for beads. I think. One of them had bug bites all over him from sleeping outside. We called him "Bug bite Bob" They were headed to the "Rainbow Festival". We took them to Cracker Barrel and sent them on their way. We just wanted to be able to say we picked up hitch hikers.

2. My dad passed away two years ago from a brain tumor. I think about him ALL the time and laugh about the funny things he use to say and do. I compare Aaron to him all the time.(GOOD and BAD) I think their a lot alike :0)

3. I got to see a lot of great concerts when I was younger here are a few of my favorite shows: Pink Floyd (Mama C-Ta), Grasteful Dead w/ Bob dylan, Black Crows, Blues Traveler, The Pharcyde w/ Cypress Hill, The Allman Brothers, Crosby, Stills & Nash ( A gift from Mama C-Ta when we were young :0) , 311, The Pixies, Nine Inch Nails, Live, The Jesus and Mary Chain , Dave Matthews and others I can't remember. Too many "hits from the B#@!" Now If I could only get to a G-unit concert...

4. Christmas is my most favorite time of the year. So magical and special. I love having kids now so I can share it with them. I hope I can make it half as special for them as my parents did for me. Some of the Christmas songs really are emotional for me now that I'm older and know the true meaning of them. "Oh Holy Night" Thats always brought me to tears, even when I was young.Have you ever heard Celine Dions version? MAN. "These Three Kings" When they sing"desperate leading, still proceeding guide me to your perfect light" The list goes on.

5. I really have an interest in science and the medical field. I always debate on whether or not to go back to school. The thing is, I wan't to have two more kids and I really wan't to enjoy that. But when their grown will I be itchin' to dig in Egypt (Aaron would accompany me of course) I don't know. Or do I wan't to go into nursing, so I can work when their in school so I can help pay for college? I know people go to school all the time when their kids are young but I don't think I'd be a happy mommy or wife if I was up nursing all night AND writing a phisiology paper. I don't wan't to miss any of their milestones.

So there you have it, 5 random things. I think everyone else has been infected so play if you wan't.

Another reminder of the sanding and painting we still have to do. Although I doubt I'll actually be doing any of that!

PICCIRILLI PARTY

So today we headed downtown to Baltimore's own Little Italy. Every year My husbands family has their annual Piccirilli/Nucci christmas party at The Little Italy Lodge. If anyone knows Baltimore it's right behind the bocci ball courts. Anyway it's always so much fun. We go to mass at St. Leo's and then head to the party afterward. Aaron's family helped build that church and his dad grew up there. Man, we've heard some stories.Piccirilli's actually help build the Lincoln monument. We say " How many bodies do you think are buried under there?" We joke about why the Piccirilli's were all masons. HMMMM, where do they find most mobsters bodies. In bridges and concrete. He has an Uncle Weddy and an Uncle Lefty. They pretty much run the party. It's a blast, full of GOOD food and good music! Santa pays a visit too and hands out gifts to all the little ones running around! Theres always new additions and it's great to see how much all the kids are growing. Even the big kids get money. If your not married , you get money. Everyone dances and has such a good time. This year I chose to buy a pointy pair of shoes from Target. Wrong choice. I love pointy shoes but I pretty much had One big toe on each foot after the party ended. They sucked!!! It's worth paying more money for shoes like that. Gianna was a busy bee of course and we took shifts chasing her up and down the room the whole day! All in all it was so much fun. But I always wonder why they have the same under cover police officers working the door each year? Seriously. I think their on payroll ;0)

PRAYERS

I'm just asking everyone to keep my niece in your prayers. Her name is Ashley and she's 15 years old. She was in a motorcycle accident a few days ago and is in Schock Trauma. Thank God she's alive and it appears she doesn't have any brain damage. She does however have a fractured skull and a rod in her broken leg. I think her femur was shattered after going through a wrought iron fence. Her sister Niki, my other niece was the nurse working when they brought her in and apparently she collapsed when she saw her younger sister :0( My brother in law, who is also their father is battling prostate cancer. They live in Florida. So please keep my sister and her family in your prayers. They are going through a lot right now and need all the prayers they can get. Thanks. :0)

Look Familiar?

I probably had food in my hand. Did I ever mention how much this girl likes to eat? It's insane! I actually have to say"No more food" She eats and eats. I hope she's not a stress eater already! Also when we go into Starbucks and she see's the pastry case she just starts saying "YES", "YES", "YES" until she gets something. She's constantly going into the kitchen. CONSTANTLY! We just love her to pieces. Hailee was a good eater too. But this child may have broken the world record. I might enter her in a pie or hot dog eating contest. (Just Kidding, she doesn't eat that junk yet) $$$$$$$$$$$$$

I'm all in
